Sifting through the plethora of sheds, shed plans, and prefabs, I ran across someone discussing the use of pallets as a shed frame. Intrigued yet appalled, because I know how rough and tacky pallets look, I dove further into the subject. Hey, they're free and that makes my wallet and hubby happy.
Continuing my research, I found what I'd expected...tacky looking sheds, but also some that I would never have thought were made from pallets. Here is one I found that was built in the U.K. It reminds me of a comfortable, relaxing log cabin and I could see myself sitting comfortably at my writing desk pounding out my next best seller.
Down side...the sites I've been to have said it took from 6 to 13 months to build. Now I'm sure there were issues such as working alone, weather, not being able to find help and so on, but do I really want to commit to that? Guess it goes back to bank account vs. time.
This decision is far from made, but it is interesting to see people finding another purpose for an item rather than putting in a land fill.
Life is good!
