“Maybe it is time for a break,” Xander said.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, Alexa has been asking you to come and visit. Why don’t you go for a few days? Maybe things will become clearer if you have something else to focus on?” Xander suggested.
“Maybe you are right,” I agreed.
There was a knock at that door. “It’s open,” I responded.
“Daeris I came to tell you I have been called away. Oh, are you leaving, too?” Silima asked.
“Yes, Alexa has asked me to visit and I need some time away to think,” I said continuing to stuff clothing in my bag.
“Ah, the Fallen, Turin thing huh?” she asked.
“Yeah, something like that. What about you; where are going?” I asked.
“There is a skirmish up north that your father wants me to check out. It shouldn’t take to long,” she replied.
“Up north, huh? What are the dark elves up to now?” I asked.
“The usual, an argument between two high ranking elves over which one is more knowledgeable in magic. We’ve been keeping an eye on the situation since it has only been verbal, but others are starting to choose sides and magic is being thrown around,” she replied. Then with a heavy sigh, she continued, “Someone needs to get up there before it gets ugly.”
“Good luck with that,” I chuckled.
“No doubt your father will have to step in, but he wants to give them a chance to solve their own problems. With a little guidance of course,” she said.
“Of course,” I repeated.
