In an effort to solve this dilemma, I began looking at the concept of a writing shed. Pinterest became my best friend as I perused through everything posted and then I found this quote by Virginia Woolf, "A woman must have money and a room of her own." The clouds parted and birds sang when I read this; "Yes, Virginia, you're right." I mean, who could argue with a phenomenal writer such as this?
Soon I was toting hubby all across town looking at plans and prefab sheds. He'd point out the quality whether good or poor, the expense, and the idea that once the children move out, again, how the shed will go unused. Needless to say I was not swayed and he resigned himself to the fact we were getting a shed and helped me find the perfect one to suit my needs.
On June 11 a truck pulled up and four hours later my shed had been built. Hubby still huffs and puffs that it was an unnecessary expense, but he is putting in the electricity as well as insulation and drywall. God I love this man!!
Here are a few pictures of the shed being put up, enjoy.
